We offer 2 types of Flat Render finish, Scratch Render Finish and an Acrylic / Silicon Render Finish in East Kilbride and across Central Scotland.
Scratch Render is type of flat render with a scratch coat, this is where the surface is scraped with a tool to achieve a textured appearance. This finish is often used create a rustic or traditional look on the exterior of the building. This is a moderate to medium maintenance render and not advised if living in forestry areas.
Acrylic / Silicon based render is a type of exterior wall finish used for a flat modern look. Acrylic Render is a pre-mixed material that includes acrylic, a type of plastic. This provides flexibility, durability and resistance to cracking. Silicon Render on the other hand incorporates silicon offering even more flexibility and water resistance, making it highly breathable and ideal for wet or coastal areas. Both types of render are applied very similar and look the same. Both can be done in various colours.
